As a carpenter, I believe "a house should be" built to the best standards available."
Every builder has a responsibility to his clients, but also to the surrounding community and the environment. Housing is one of our basic needs. Progress in the building industry is fast paced, as well as every other part of our life. This means we must constantly update your knowledge and skills and transcripe them into your work. Airtightness, Cellulose Insulation or Pre-build panel systems are common practise in Europe to meet required standards. Those methods can be applied to New Zealand conditions with the advantage of making the house performance measurable.
Such standards and materials guarantee that no corners will be cut and that quality stays high in the concept as well as the execution.
As a designer, I believe "a home should be tailor-made to the needs and desires of the future resident."
Everything around a home should be tayler made to fit perfectly into the lifstyle of the future inhabitants. e.g. Providing a measurable energy efficient Building allowes you to get your custom built heating system which is not over designed and therefore not over priced. You tell us about your lifestyle and we translate them into building ideas.
As a responsible father, I believe that “we do not inherit the earth from our fathers, but we are borrowing it from our children.” (David Brower)
Responsibilitie for the future of our kids means to conserve our nature and natural resources. This includes proper building, waste management and the right choice of materials and heating without affecting a healthy and comfortable environment in a house.
